On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Ferrero and as part of the ‘This is the Place' campaign, the employees of Ferrero India were introduced to the Kinder+Sport initiative: a day of outdoor activity and sports with the India head office employees, led by the four Italian trainers from Alba. The first half of the day consisted of team building activities, and the second half was dedicated to sport activities such as football, cricket and fitness. The day was a great success, and paved the way for the trainers to tour the area.
First, they visited the Pietro Ferrero Kinder Garden in Baramati: a new area for Kinder+Sport. Children and teachers took part in two Joy of Moving sessions with an enthusiasm that was shared by the parents.
Then, for one week, over 400 children aged 6-12 attended the 2nd Kinder+Sport summer camp in Baramati. 18 local trainers were supported by 4 Italian experts who ran the summer camp. The children were divided by age into different groups and engaged in sporting disciplines particularly suited to their respective physical and psychological-behavioral capabilities according to the Joy of Moving methodology. The Italian trainers conducted an intensive workshop for the Indian trainers to impart their knowledge on the 4 key pillars of this methodology: Physical efficiency, Movement coordination, Life skills and Cognitive development.
